DATV has been around for well over ten years now and was started as a hobby alongside its sister site, Fantasy News, which concentrate on Scifi and Fantasy TV shows. I started off as a scifi fan but over the years have become more and more interested in drama and action type tv showa as well, particularly procedural shows like Bones as well as other cop shows etc.

As I said, the site started off as, and remains a hobby and so concentrates on the shows I like to watch rather than trying to include everything in the genre. So, new shows get added as I become interested in them. The sort of information I add to the site includes cast lists, episode guides and anything else I find interesting. I also put up links to places like Amazon so you can go off and buy the latest DVD box set or whatever.

As a red blooded TV watching male, one of the other things I am interested in is the women who star in the various shows and so I have also begun to accumulate quite a lot of images of the leading ladies from various shows (and sometimes related movies). I have added some guys galleries too but nowhere near as many as the babes, because to be quite honest, adding galleries for the guys is a bit of a chore. However, I will endeavour to redress the balance in time

One of the things I have always carried through on the main index page is a list of new episodes that are airing in the UK during the current week. Not sure how many people find this useful but I enjoy doing it so I'll carry on as it also keeps me in touch with what's showing and when.
